What a winter! Fortunately Matthews’ Glen weathered the long, cold months well and spring is finally here. Now we can enjoy the beauty of our surroundings for the next several months. Mulching, bush trimming, and yard clean-up have been completed.
Two external upgrades for each unit are coming soon:
New outdoor lights will be installed on Monday, June 2, weather permitting, in both front and back (bulbs included). If it rains, another installation date will be scheduled. These will replace the old lights that are wearing out. Thanks to Neil Smith from unit 24 for doing the research on various alternatives. New unit numbers are being investigated following a number of comments from owners and visitors that the current numbers are hard to see. Several possible colours for the new numbers will be tested to decide which is most easily visible.

The Board is also getting quotes for power washing and cleaning the back decks. The decks are ‘exclusive use common elements’, and therefore the Condominium Corporation is responsible for maintaining them. This work will be completed as soon as the budget permits. Watch for notices to remove items from your deck so that this work can be done.
