Greetings fellow 443 Nassau Street residents!
Your Board of Directors met on 20 January to discuss condo business, and we want to bring you up to date on our discussions and plans for 2014.
Your Board of Directors met on 20 January to discuss condo business, and we want to bring you up to date on our discussions and plans for 2014.
Thank You
First and foremost, the Board, on behalf of the current and past residents and owners of units at 443 Nassau Street, wants to publically recognize Tom Busbridge for all his fine work on the Board since the beginning of this community. Thanks Tom! Staying in Touch
One of the topics the Board wants to place more emphasis on is the subject of communication. It is our intention to provide a much more accessible forum for discussion of ideas, areas of concern etc than we have had in the past. |
Email
To that end, we will be using email wherever possible to communicate with unit owners and residents. We will be contacting you in order to get your email address if you choose to give it. Distribution of newsletter and routine communications is needless to say much cheaper and timelier via email. This will permit more communication. We have already set up an email address so you can contact a member of the Board- [email protected] Emailing this address will result in all the members of the Board seeing your email, so your input will be addressed in a timely way. Please continue to contact representatives of our management company, Cannon Greco, for any emergencies or issues that require their attention. You can reach Tammy Marquis or Cathy Chiocchio at: [email protected] tracey@cannongreco.ca Phone: (905) 687-6933 Of course, we recognize that not everyone has email, so for those who don’t, we will continue to provide hard copy, either via Canada Post or personal home delivery. |
Web site
To enhance two-way communication, we will be setting up a web site where you will find relevant information (e.g., what has been discussed/decided at Board meetings, announcement details of events, etc) as well as a way to voice your ideas for the community. For example, a resident has suggested we decorate the trees in our park with Christmas lights. Without the web site, it is difficult for owners and residents to voice their opinions on the idea in a timely way (in the past, these issues were essentially discussed once a year at the AGM – not very often!) |
Social Events
We hope to run some social events in our park when the weather improves. We expect these will be pot-luck events, but we might also have some organized barbeque events where attendees chip in to cover costs. The park is an excellent feature of our community, and we would like to promote its use.
Your Input
We welcome your thoughts and input on all the above.
Do you use email? Do you like the idea of more two-way communication? What social events would you like to see and come out and support?
We look forward to hearing from you.
Your Board of Directors,
Viki (Unit 2), Nina (Unit 4) and Geoff (Unit 21)
